A piece of me
He christened me into womanhood and took a piece of me the one that you can never get back and I gave it to him freely Later on we both took an oath The supposed unbreakable vow All lies, deceit and betrayal looking back in hindsight now. Was it his fault or was it mine I guess we'll never know- the only thing I can confirm is how resentment did grow Now, I mourn and deeply grieve all the lies he made me believe It wasn't all just in my head, Now a piece of me is forever gone... a piece of me is dead.
