A PHONE CALL
By Julius Malah Matete Munthali The night was peaceful Skies clear Stars scattered across the universe Everything was going on smoothly there at the verandah Sweet stories evaporating the atmosphere between husband and wife But a phone call sabotaged the lovely atmosphere Answering the call, accidentally the phone switched itself to loud speaker And the voice at the other end spilled the beans, "sweetheart, I loved the groans last night at the lodge!"
