A peaceful place
I've always dreamed of being in a place where there's no chaos, no stress, no doubts, only me and my own thoughts. I kept dreaming of it when the noises hit, when pressure began, when my chest beat faster than usual as if it were the end. until I learned it had a name: a peaceful place. But as I grew older, I realized it wasn't just a single place. It could be a jungle- walking through trees, leaves swaying, wind brushing my face, birds speaking softly as if they're rhyming a song, or perhaps flying in search of a meal, just like me- looking for somewhere real. It could be a desert or a snowy day, where I lie on the ground, watching a sky crowded with shining, calm stars, wishing they'd calm my own storms. A sky so blue, a heart full of love- pure and true. A love I can't find in someone else, unless I find it in myself. Or it could be the ocean- the voices of the heavy waves feeling like the weight I carry on my shoulders everyday. Water moves silently, back and forth, free...without rules. And I wonder: Will I be the ocean one day? breathing fresh air, far away from toxic people, free- with no one left to obey.
