A note to my self
Sometimes I’m the one telling people to stay, reminding them that giving up isn’t the answer. I speak as if I fully understand hope, as if I have already won the battle inside my mind. But the truth is quieter than my words. The truth is that I’m still fighting too. Every day there are thoughts I wrestle with, questions that echo in the silent parts of my mind. And sometimes I wonder if it makes me a hypocrite—telling someone else to hold on while I’m barely holding on myself. But maybe it doesn’t mean I’m fake. Maybe it simply means I know how heavy life can feel. Maybe it means I understand the darkness more than I wish I did. So when I tell someone to stay, to breathe, to try one more day, maybe I’m not only speaking to them… maybe I’m also leaving a quiet note for myself. 💛
