A New Chance for Love
I don’t agree with love, not yet, Its fragile promises, easy to forget. A fleeting shadow, a fleeting flame, A whispered word that feels the same. But this year, 2025, I'll see, If love can mean something to me. Not as a cage, nor chains that bind, But as a gift, tender and kind. I’ve built my walls, strong and tall, Safe within, I fear the fall. Yet cracks appear, the light breaks through, Could love be something real and true? I’ll walk this path with steady stride, No fear, no guilt, no need to hide. Perhaps love waits, with gentle hands, To show me truths it understands. So here I stand, a cautious heart, Ready, though unsure, to start. This year, I’ll let love take its stance, This year, I will give love a chance. ✍️ Ayshat........
