A Mother's Lullaby
Hums to the beat, Trying to be discreet. All the way That night becomes day. A mother tries to calm her baby, But her little one is so filled with activity. The cries fill the air, And Lucina mutters a heart-filled prayer. The lullaby soon becomes one with the little child. The harsh cries transform into sounds of mild. That was years ago, The little baby now to grow. There's a certain melody, something sweet and less angry. It all seems too familiar, And it leaves me without the answer... "Love me, and you'll see." This beat is something Maria can never foresee. "Soon, you'll be with me again." Now, all the memories flood from back then.
