A Mother's Love
In the room where darkness looms, I sit alone, consumed by gloom. Despair wraps tight, a heavy shroud, Silent tears, I cry aloud. A knot forms deep within my throat, A gaping void, my heart afloat. But then a light, so pure and bright, My child steps in, dispelling night. “I love you,” she whispers, soft and sweet, Her hug, a warmth, a gentle treat. Those simple words, they melt my heart, A spark of joy, a brand new start. Why does this sorrow bend my will, When her love should be my fill? She needs me strong, to guide her way, To chase her fears, to light her day. So I rise up, from shadows deep, For her, my soul, I vow to keep. No longer lost, I find my place, In her embrace, I find my grace.
