A Misguided Heart
Is it jealousy that you hold? But what they have, you think you lack, Yet your own gifts, they don’t track. They don’t possess what you’ve achieved, Yet still, your heart feels deceived, Why let envy blur your sight, When your own strength burns so bright? They shine, but so do you, In ways they cannot pursue, So why this grudge, this inner fight, When both your paths are just as right? Perhaps it's fear, or just a phase, A passing cloud, a fleeting haze, But in your heart, remember this, Their gain is not your loss or miss.
