A Melody OF Silent Dreams
I write you verses in the quiet hours, Someday, perhaps, a tale I’ll weave. I know you live by quiet rules, Still, may I speak—just briefly, with leave? Two moons can never grace the sky, That’s why, perhaps, you walk the earth. If time allows, just once, I hope— You’ll weigh these words, their silent worth. Your face is veiled in thoughtful shade, Yet cannot hide that endless grace. It lingers soft, through silent lines— A tender light I still embrace. There’s pain that rests in your distant eyes, Unknown, unsaid, yet softly near. Even within the hush you wear, A smile is born, serene and clear. I’ve fallen under your gentle spell— Though not for me, that charm may be. If not a friend, then be a reader, Is that, too, such a fearsome plea? You wear the chill of distant stars, Yet still I hope, yet still I stay. A fleeting smile, a single word— Is why I pause along the way.
