A Man in Search of His Soul
A man set out on a quest so deep, To find his soul, a longing that wouldn't sleep. Through life's paths, alone he walked, In search of peace, where whispers talked. Amidst the world's glitter, he strayed, Seeking solace in shadows and shade. Wealth and fame he did acquire, Yet the emptiness within didn't tire. In crowds, he felt apart, Distant from his soul, a void in his heart. Every dawn's light, his hope pursued, Every night's darkness, his quest renewed. Temples, mosques, churches, shrines, In sacred places, he sought divine signs. Books and sages, wisdom's word, Yet the peace he yearned for was unheard. Then one day, a sage so wise, Spoke of truths beyond the skies. "Seek within," the sage did say, "For the soul you search is not far away." He closed his eyes, listened to his heart, In silence, he found the start. No longer lost in the external, He found his soul in the quiet internal. The man, once adrift, became whole, Finding peace within, he found his soul. His restless journey met its end, When he found his true self, his closest friend.
