A lover's Journal
I tried to mend the tears, But my efforts only brought more fears. You said it was beyond repair, I vowed to try, to show I care. You wanted me, but just enough, The bare minimum, a distant love. I apologized, and strived to be, Better, stronger, for you and me. But you forgot, and moved away, Leaving me with nothing to say. I realized I deserved more, Than the crumbs of love you left on the floor. You can call me what you will, Good or bad, it's all the same still. But saying I didn't try, that's a lie, You gave up on us, and I won't deny. I won't chase love that's lost its way, That hides instead of showing each day. Love is a two-way street, they say, And I won't chase you, come what may.
