A LONGING

I'd a longing, No one can satisfy Thirst, none can quench Hunger, none can satisfy Felt empty, not knowing the solution Wandering far and wide Wondering where to run to My body ached all over Fatigue set in accompanied By more thirst and hunger. In hopelessness did I drag Mine feet weary and dusty My joints almost creaked As does rusty hinges. At the verge of giving up I saw a light at the tunnel's end. Running to it did I find my solution I found rest and meaning To my life My longing He satisfied My emptiness He filled With a sense of hope and belonging To it He topped with a clear identity I rejoice in Him I rejoice in the one who knows my weakness, Heals my wounds, lifting My burdens off my back. In Him I'm persuaded and convinced That my life is in safe hands. Find Him today ....
