A lonely person
A lonely person lives in a world of their own, Where no one else can understand. Their thoughts and feelings stay hidden and unknown, In the depths of their heart and mind they expand. Though they may be surrounded by many, They still feel so alone. The crowded room may as well be empty, For they are their own. The lonely person hides away their pain, And shields it from sight. For they know no one will understand, And so they stay in the dark of the night. The loneliness can be so hard to bear, But they must keep going on. For one day they may find solace and care, And the loneliness will be gone.
