A Lifeless Body on the Tracks
Ever since you left my mornings became dull, my want to go to school darkened. The school breaks and theatre classes became a blur, meaningless. I see your face in people, I hear your voice echo in the halls, our happy memories dimmed and have now become nightmares. You have become a ghost, while I am still a mere mortal. I see you when no one else can, you walk down the hall like every other day, but I can't talk to you, you won't hear. I can't hug you, you won't feel my touch. I miss you and I know you will never come back, but how long can I last, without your hug, without your laugh, without you to hold me when I fall back? You jumped off the bridge, I am tempted to follow. She says I am strong, but I'm really not. Sometimes I want to jump. I want to become a lifeless body on the tracks.
