Live my life Holding my breath before every thought Counting outcomes before they exist Carrying answers I never asked for Preparing for truths I wish would fail Live my life Tensing at every pause Knowing what will happen And watching it happen anyway Because being right does not protect me It only proves I saw it coming This is my life Always ahead of the moment Always collapsing the future in my head Imagining the end of everything So it cannot surprise me So it cannot hurt me first
