A Letter to My Younger Self
To my little self, I'm sorry you endured so much pain, With no shoulder to cry on, no comforting embrace. I'm sorry you never heard "I'm proud of you", Or felt the warmth of "You're enough". I'm sorry you were never told you're beautiful, And your worth was constantly in doubt. I'm sorry you bore the weight of blame, And never found solace in loving words. If I could turn back time, I'd be your safe haven. For now, know I'm sorry for all you faced. You deserved love, kindness, and gentle care. But the world didn't offer you that. I'm sorry, little one.
