A Letter He'll Never See
When we met, you set sparks off in my heart. A simple spark, a tameable spark. Well, it's been a year since then. The spark has turned into a flame, despite my best efforts of controlling it. Day after day, the flame will grow, i try to douse it out, but it comes back bigger, and fiercer. I know it's foolish, to imagine that perhaps this flame is an adequate appeal, for you to come and share comfort by its warmth. Foolish to hope that my flame can offer a respite for you to rest. But when I look into your eyes, I see safety. I see strength, and I see pain. I see eyes worth more love and devotion than anyone before has ever given you. It's awfully foolish of me, to write a letter that you'll never see. But in spite of it all, I sit by this flame, and burn for you. If you were a rose, covered in thorns, I'd bleed for a moment to hold you close. But you are not a rose, and you will never see this letter...you will never know.
