- A Legacy of Lies
- A Legacy of Lies I ended the word "peace at home"—no, they shattered it. It wasn't meant to be like this; at least, that's what I want. The elders bear the fault; their words, shards of broken glass, Their judging gazes, the very definition of shame, Passed down to our generation, fueling a rebellion, Giving them cause to mock our names. They claim to understand, but their words are honeyed lies. Love itself's a joke now, played out before our eyes, A game we're forced to win or fail, a cruel and twisted jest. The world's slowly crumbling to ash, sincerity lost, Affection buried deep. They look down, expect us to soar, But not all of us have wings, nor do all winged creatures fly so high— Unless that's what they truly believe. —hanayurinagi
