A late night walk
Rain like mist in the dark winter night, the air is biting my cheek as we walk underneath the lights. Water trickling down the neck of a well, as I bite my lip and wish you hell. Yet my anger cannot fester, slips of me like laughter to a jester. Your smile makes me mirror, Through shards of glass to help me see clearer. Scars of what could have been had you not abandoned me, struggling. Laughter and longing, following you wherever you're going. The raindrops on my classes distorting my veiw, stomach full of doubt, and there are a few. Yet you lure me into feelings both right and wrong, scared to open up, rather see me gone. But gone I won't be as we walk of the side street, take me home and put me in your sheet. While emotions go up and down, the streetlight still stands, tethered to the ground.
