A knock at the door
Death came knocking at my door again today. He tried to disguise himself as an old friend, but I knew it was him. He stood knokcking at my door, shaking a bottle of pills. Calling them magic candy that can make all of my problems and trubles disappear, but only if you eat them all. He stood at the door, shaking his bottle of magic pills. Saying, come on, and let me in. I know you want to. You've been acting strong for long enough. It's time to let go, and let yourself finally rest. Let me in and unburden yourself with this old friend. Another one of his tricks, I thought as I came to the door, telling him to go away. But he was oddly persistent today, and longer I argued with him. The more tempted I felt to let him in. I know he's no friend to me, but if I give in to his story and let him in. Then at least I could pretend to have the company of an old friend
