A Knife I Keep
A memory that aches The thought of you, makes one crumble The lonely balcony, where you once stood Silently, patiently, You awaited Your sillhouette by the door, now replaced with pots and bricks A hand that will forever crave yours The warmth and envy, a feeling forever missed Fingers snap, you vanish just like that It was just another day, right? I wonder if there's another universe Another me, another you Will you disappear there too? I've been through fire, sure this wouldn't be hard But i'm putting out a fire made of pain You're a knife stabbed, that I never want to pull out A part of me, still awaits You're not gone Well and alive Yet the feeling of emptyness, still strikes the heart Maybe you're a ghost You're there but harder to see than most
