A King
A king stands on top of a hill. The king is on top of the world, until he is knocked down. Tumbling down the hill he scrapes his hands and knees. While painful the king looks up and climbs up the hill again, the pain from the scrapes gnawing at him, he reaches the top again. The king looks around hopeful that he won't get knocked down again. A moment of relief washes over him, till he is knocked down again. As he falls he sprains his wrists and his ankles. He sits at the bottom of his hill yearning to go up and see the wonderful view, so he climbs again. His scrapes and sprains painful as they might be were ignored, and as he got to the top, looking at the view he feared he would get knocked down again. He looked all over seeing who, or what kept pushing him but he saw nothing. So he sat atop the hill looking out at the wonderous view until he felt a push. Tumbling down once more the king broke his arms and his foot and had even cracked his skull. As he looked up at the hill he saw a woman staring down at him. Curious he precedes to climb, injuring himself more and more till he finally reaches the top. Seeing the woman and the view he looks up at her as she takes her foot and kicks him off the hill once more.
