A journey to the unknown
For some time now, dear Lord, I have seen you drawing me deeper... You are leading me on a journey I do not yet know, But all I feel is the heat of a place I've yet to arrive at.Daily, I cry for mercy, not to falter by the wayside, To love and cherish you like never before. Though I am not perfect, with imperfections I bear, I walk with you, as Enoch did, trusting I will make it.You said to acknowledge you, and you will straighten our paths. Here I am, Lord, telling you once again of my fear, Of the journey to the unknown. Keep me close, Lord, and draw me deeper still, Baptize me in the river of joy.Your promise—that the steps of the righteous are ordered by you— Is what sustains me. Like the wind, those led by the Spirit cannot know Where it comes from or where it goes.Your presence is the antidote, your word the nourishment I need, And your Spirit my guide. Help me to align, trust, and love you more, So I can journey into the unknown with confidence. For all I know is that it leads to a place of rest— A land flowing with milk, honey, and the breath of fresh air.
