A horse! A horse! My kingdom
A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse! A steed to bear me through this cursed plight, Amidst the clash and clamor, fierce and coarse, I seek salvation in the coming night. The battlefield, a sea of fire and steel, Where shadows waltz with death’s eternal dance, Each breath a gamble, every turn a wheel, And I am left bereft, my fate askance. O steed of grace, thou art my desperate plea, Through mire and blood, thy hooves would guide me clear, To lead me from this storm of treachery, And lift me from this dark and shattered sphere. A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse! In thee lies hope, salvation’s distant shore, To turn the tide, to end this grim discourse, And find the peace for which my heart does soar.
