A Heart's Cry

Dear Lord, in moments of helplessness, be my refuge and my aid. When I'm without a home, be my sanctuary and my peace. When weakness besets me, be my fortress and my strength. When loneliness surrounds me, be my companion and my friend. When sickness afflicts me, be my Healer and my Restorer. When pain overwhelms me, be my Comforter and my Peace. When tears fall, gently wipe them away and soothe my soul. When needs arise, provide for me according to Your riches and Your love. When I'm lost, be my Guiding Light and my Way. When I stray, gently lead me back to the path of righteousness. When I need a place of safety, hide me under the shadow of Your wings. When turmoil rages, be my Peace and my Calm. When sorrow grips my heart, grant me a smile and a sense of hope. When circumstances seem insurmountable, intervene and make a way. Remember, Lord, I am Your child, and You are my Father. I trust in Your goodness and Your love. As I come to You in prayer, I ask that You hear my cries and answer according to Your will. When I ask for bread, give me the nourishment I need. When I pray, let my prayers ascend to Your throne and receive a response of love and mercy. In times of abandonment, remember me, Lord.
