"A heart that shatters"
You and I we have been here before, On more than one occasion, But it would not matter to you anymore, Furthermore, you tore open my heart as if nothing seemed wrong, Almost as if you could not recognize me. You and I we used to know each other you see, You used to be happy to see me, And I used to be happy to see you, I thought for a moment that we two felt the same. But as I loved you from one end, I felt your laughter from the other, You said you hated me with all your might, I can't help but wonder why you would despise me so. You and I began to cause havoc and fights, But I still wouldn't know what I would do with you out of my sight, I go down on my knees as I beg and plead for you not to turn away from me, But you do so anyway without any doubts. So as you and I turn away from one another, And as you go and live your happy, fulfilled life, I can't help but wonder what it would be like if we were with each other. You walk away from me as I turn back one last time, In your happy life, I turn back to my side, And I pick up all the crumbling pieces you have left behind.
