A heart once called Home
I learned that not every smile stays, not every promise survives the rain. Some friendships begin like sunshine, then leave behind a sky full of pain. I gave my trust with open hands, shared secrets hidden deep inside. But words I thought were safely kept became the tears I could not hide. The silence hurt more than the fights, more than the distance that slowly grew. I mourned a person still alive, wondering what happened to "me and you." Friendship trauma is a quiet ache, a wound that many never see. It's missing someone who once felt like home, while learning who they chose to be. Yet healing comes in gentle ways, through time, through grace, through letting go. Not everyone who leaves your life was meant to stay and help you grow. So now I carry both the scars and every lesson that they gave. I lost a friendship, found my strength, and learned that a kind heart can still be brave. Though trust may tremble, hope remains. Though tears may fall, they will not stay. For every friendship that broke my heart helped lead me to a brighter day.
