A Heart left to bleed
I craved their attention, yearned for their love, I wanted their loyalty, like a gift from above. I sought comfort in their arms, their feelings for me, But instead, they shattered my trust, leaving me to plea. Bruised and battered, scars deep within, They caused me trauma, a pain so akin. I gave them my heart, my soul, my all, But they left me shattered, feeling so small. Their promises whispered, like a deceitful breeze, Leaving me lost, consumed by unease. I longed for their touch, their presence so near, But they only brought sorrow, filling me with fear. Betrayed and forsaken, a heart left to bleed, I search for solace, for a way to be freed. But the wounds they inflicted, they run deep and raw, Leaving me broken, with a heart full of straw. So I gather my strength, and stand tall and strong, Knowing that in time, I will heal and belong. For I am worth more than the pain they bestowed, I am resilient, I am brave, I will grow.
