A heart in twilight
In twilight's hush, where shadows play, A heart doth ache, in sorrow's sway. A love now lost, a memory that clings, A bittersweet reminder of joy's stings. Like autumn's leaves, my hopes do fade, And tears, like summer's rain, are shed in vain. The winds of time, they whisper low, "Will she return?" a question that doth haunt me so. In dark of night, I wander, lost and alone, Through streets of sorrow, where my heart doth moan. The stars above, they twinkle bright, Yet offer no solace, for my soul's plight. And so I roam, a wanderer forlorn, Searching for a love, that may never be reborn. For in the depths of my heart, a sorrow doth reside, A grief that gnaws, and will not subside.
