A Handwritten Letter

It's 2 am and you're not here Around this time, I would do anything to hold you near Unfortunately though, I can't make that happen So instead I'm writing you this note on a napkin You're always so sweet to me in every conversation You always encourage me if I have reservations And I know thanks to you, I've never been braver So I figured I'd take a minute and repay the favor I know you aren't scared, you're very courageous I know you won't give up, you're also tenacious But I know nights can be long and days can be longer So I want to encourage you, help you be stronger I could do some research and send you a quote But I thought it might mean more if I wrote you this note So I just wanted to take a minute and say "I love you, keep going" in the very best way I know things are tough, being so far apart But please know that no one's ever been closer to my heart I wish there was a way I could make everything better But til then, I give you this handwritten letter
