A Habit I Never Want To Break.
As a child, I had strange little habits. I chewed my nails till they hurt, I sucked the mucus from my nose without shame, I peeled off my scabs and ate them. I let dishes pile up like trophies, and brushing my teeth felt like punishment unless someone begged me to. These are very weird, right? I've outgrown all of that though. Now I’ve picked up a new habit, loving you. And this one? I can't stop. I don't want to stop. It's not messy, gross, or childish. It's consuming, beautiful, and oddly addictive. It makes my heart race and my world feel whole. I’ve traded bad habits for one I hope I never break. I love you and I can't help myself. Loving you has become my rhythm, my routine and my sweet obsession. I'm deep in and you know what, I love this new habit. Maybe, just maybe, this one is a good habit.
