A Guiding Light
In halls of learning, where minds unfold, You stood by me, a constant gold. A teacher, mentor, guiding star, Who saw the potential near and far. When words faltered, and doubts did creep, You lifted me, my dreams to keep. You saw the poet, hidden deep, And nurtured it, in endless sleep. With every verse, you offered care, And helped me find my voice, so rare. You showed me worlds, beyond the page, And ignited passion, like a stage. Your patience knew no bounds, it's true, As you unraveled complexity anew. You broke the mold of conventional thought, And let my imagination soar, uncaught. Through trials and errors, you stayed near, And whispered "believe" when doubts did appear. You celebrated each small victory, And helped me find my inner symmetry. Today, I stand, with heart aflame, A poet born, with words to claim. I owe it to you, dear teacher, friend, Who never gave up, till the very end. Your legacy lives, a shining light, That guides me still, through darkest night. I'll carry your lessons, always true, And pay them forward, anew. Thank you for seeing me, for believing, For helping me find my poetic being. You're etched in my heart, forevermore A guiding light, on my life's great score
