A Golden Escape
A partial window opens, letting in the breeze, I walk toward them, drawn by the view, where the golden sun sets in hues so true. The beauty is draped in shimmering gold, yet somehow, the air feels cold. A tranquil lake reflects the sky, it's warmth makes my soul sigh. A wooden boat gentle and free, floats as if it's calling me. I know it's waiting, patient and true, to take me where peace blooms anew. The lush green trees and wildflowers bright, showered calmness, bathed in light. Everything felt so surreal, As if my soul began to heal. But as the day turned into night, the lake faded out of sight. A sudden glow, a blinding gleam___ I opened my eyes.... it was just a dream
