A Gentle Goodbye
Her words fell like autumn leaves, "Sometimes it's better to let go, I believe." Love's flame flickered, though still bright, But life's chaos dimmed her light. He reached out, a steady hand, "Stay, and together we'll withstand." But she shook her head, a gentle sway, "We're not on the same page, not today." The weight of her world bore down, Draining her soul, wearing her down. She yearned for peace, a quiet shore, Where love's complexities wouldn't roar. He pleaded, his voice a gentle breeze, "Don't give up on us, on what we've seized." But she stood firm, a resolute heart, "I'm choosing peace, a brand new start." With a final glance, she turned away, Leaving him with tears to stay. "If that's what you want..." his words trailed off, As she vanished, a fleeting thought.
