A generation lost
In the dawn of a new world, we're adrift, A generation torn, with hearts that shift, Unaware of what we want, or what we've got, We're chasing shadows, in a world that's lost its plot. I've lived in this world, with its pain and its strife, A world that's full of jealousy, and a never-ending fight, We're driven by envy, and a desire to be seen, But in the process, we lose ourselves, and our hearts are unclean. God gave us a second chance, to live and to thrive, But my generation's lost, in a world that's hard to survive, We're not living up to our potential, we're not being true, We're chasing dreams that aren't ours, and losing our way, anew. I'm not against the world, or the people in it, But I'm against what goes against the heart of what God has written, In the Bible, it's clear, what God's will is for us all, But my generation's not following, and it's hard to stand tall. LGBTQ+, a topic of debate, But God's word is clear, on what He creates, Man and man, woman and woman, it's not what He's designed, So why do we ignore, what God's word has defined? I don't understand, what my generation wants, We're lost and confused, and our hearts are haunted
