A Fractured Mind, A Fractured
In streets that hum with silent cries, Behind bright smiles, the darkness lies. A world so loud, yet none can hear The whispers soaked in shame and fear. We mask the weight, we hide the scars, Trapped in minds like prison bars. A heart that aches, a soul confined, Yet no one asks, “Are you aligned?” The anxious hands, the restless nights, The battles fought without a fight. The fear of failing, shame of pain, A cycle spun, again, again. Depression lurks in empty halls, Loneliness behind bright walls. Addiction grips with hollow need, Yet judgment plants another seed. Why do we turn from those who cry, And mock the tears they try to dry? Why must the wounded stand alone, In places meant to be their home? A bridge of care, a hand to hold, Could mend the cracks, could break the cold. For in the heart of every mind, A spark of hope is yet to find. So let us speak, let voices rise, And shatter silence, break disguise. For healing starts when love is shown, And no one fights their pain alone.
