A Flicker Remains
Sometimes I wish I was born In a place of laughter, a home less torn. Where joy was loud, where love felt right, Instead of echoes of screams at night. Yet sometimes, I wish I was never here, Lost in the weight of pain and fear. Still somewhere inside, a flicker remains, A soft whisper, defying the chains. A little light, faint but true, Tells me that even without them— I can be enough, too.
