A False Fable
Here I am, trying not to think of you. but I think of nothing else. I can't help but feel the way I do. When my mind opens and I think of you, a bitter taste, the loving hate. My Queen to this madness, my sweet escape. Every breath draws me closer, every thought becomes you. That 9 letter name, that 3 letter word. I hate that I love you. I'm the moth to your flame, distant voices whisper my name. I've finally accepted this false fairytale. Beyond the valley lies the shadow of death. Without you near it's hard to catch my breath I hold it in. ... accepting... I can't remember a dream without you in it, I can remember your face and every contour in it. I've believed in "us" but that outcome is depressing. The thought you could save me from myself, but I ended up crawling deeper within myself.
