A facade
They say they love me,but their faces frown. when i come in,their smiles upside down they whisper secrets, their eyes cast down their words of affection, nowhere to be found. they say they need me but their actions dispel, their love is conditional,a fragile shell they want me strong, but their criticism sting, their praise is scarce, their judgements take wing. they say they care, but their hearts are cold their love is locked away a treasure to be told.they whisper sweet nothings, their eyes betray their true intentions a game to play. their words are empty, their heart unbound, their love is a lie,a game to be found.
