A dying Heart

Emotions numbed, senses gray Once fiery passions, now fade away Tears dry up, screams silent too I stare blankly, feeling nothing new Things that once stirred rage and pain Now meet my gaze with empty plain No spark within, no fire burns A hollow soul, where love concerns Hobbies once dear, now collect dust Joyful moments, lost in rust Laughter echoes, distant past Happiness flees, and won't last My heart, a flame that's lost its spark A dull ember, left in dark No drive, no zeal, no zest to live Just existing, in a life I give Trails of smiles, now fade to gray Eyes that shone, now dull each day The world moves on, without a care I'm stuck, lost, with no repair Tired of tears, tired of pain Tired of living, in vain Tired of searching, tired of trying Tired of living, with heart dying
