A DUA FOR OUR BECOMING.
A Dua I Carry — for me, for my siblings, for my girls. May we rise together, me and my siblings, with hands that give, hearts that remember, and success that tastes like sujood. May we carry our parents’ joy like medals over our shoulders— not for applause, but for the prayers they whispered when we didn’t even know we needed them. May we become better Muslims, not perfect, but pure-hearted, always returning, always trying. May my memory hold the Qur’an like a lamp in a dark world, guiding not just my path but lighting the way for others too. May my girls win, soft and fierce, successful and in love— with life, with Allah, and with themselves. And may true love find me, the kind that makes my soul rest, because it sees me and loves me with God at the center. Ameen.
