A DREAM LOCKED THE NIGHT
By Julius Malah Matete Munthali In the night In the quietness of the darkness Sounds of the wind in the background Birds humming in the distant A dream locked the night You popped up in the dream Sweet words whispered in the dream The world became our one world Love danced to the melodies of the humming birds No denial, we were locked in glowing fire of love No opposition, everything was granted accordingly When I wanted to kiss you, I kissed you When I wanted to hug you, I hugged you When I wanted to caress you, I caressed you When I wanted to........I....... Everything was smooth as peanut butter that night That night I loved you like a mother's love to a new born I fell deeply in love with everything that chanced between us that night Especially the teasing groans which vibrated my eardrums that night
