A Distant Place
And when he lay awake in his bed once again, he knows not whether to feel the emptiness of the room or the fullness of himself. So it is that he cannot fill the void, neither in the room nor his heart. He dreams of another place. One of beauty and liveliness. A place where alone is unknown. But the thoughts shall forever stay in the emptiness of his mind. He cannot believe this place could ever exist. Nevertheless, he moves along the trodden path. Shall he forsake the beauty of nature for the beauty of a woman? Let it be that the wind would speak to him and sing a song. But this song only brings tears to his eyes.
