A Demon's Dilemma
They say demons are impervious to pain, Void of remorse, regret, guilt, and love. Monsters, they claim, driven by sin, wealth, lust, and souls, Making deals with the damned, forever doomed. Little do they know, a demon suffers too. Forced to torment sinners, their agony a feast for the ordinary demon, Yet it plunges me into my own personal hell. These souls, though tainted, are beings like me. Not all demons revel in pain, screams, lust, or wealth. Some yearn for a normal existence, a simple peace. I am fortunate, for souls, even the corrupted, have rescued me from the abyss. They are my solace, my reason to endure. But a twist of fate could plunge me back into the fiery depths. Am I truly lucky?
