A crowned paradox
My path is mine alone to take, The breeze mine alone to braze. I hold aloft a lamp of gold, A crown of rubies, pearls, and diamond flame. My gaze is stone unyielding, strange Eyes that can draw you into Neverland. I wield a staff of authority, a burden born of weight. A mind like iron, a heart that yields, The upholder, The controlla, I move in steps that split the earth And walk through realms undone. I am the harbinger of life and destroyer too. The lover. The hater. I do not cling to grudges, Yet I revenge with quiet flame. I claim the holy, yet I profane. I need, I want insatiable remains. I am man. The one with fire behind his eyes, A tongue as sweet as it is bitter. At my core: love, hate, judgment reside. Yet above all… I run a race I may have no control over.
