A Call From Heaven
In realms of reverie, where whispers roam, I heard a call, a voice, a gentle tone, Echoing through my soul, a heartfelt plea, "My child, turn back, and gaze upon me." The path I've walked, once straight and true, Now winding, lost, in worldly hue, I forgot the purpose, the reason I was made, A vessel for the divine, a soul displayed. The world's allurements, like autumn leaves, Danced before my eyes, and I believed, Their fleeting promises, their empty claims, And neglected the manual, the guide to sacred aims. The Holy Spirit, a helper, a guide, A whisper in my ear, a gentle stride, Was silenced, ignored, as I strayed, From the path of righteousness, to a worldly way. But still, the voice persists, a loving call, "My child, come home, and let your spirit stand tall, In my house, there's room for all, a place to rest, Bring your burdens, your worries, and let them nest." The air I breathe, the night's dark shade, The protection, the love, that's always displayed, Who shields me from harm, who guides me through life's maze? The One who waits, with open arms, and a loving gaze. "Come to me," the voice whispers low, "Rest in me, and let your spirit glow, I in you, and you in me, a bond so strong.
