A pair of eyes Glimmering, beyond the void Gentle, yet sharp Kind, yet calculating A pair of cat eyes Or of reptiles It looked to me Or past me That pair of eyes That returns to darkness in a blink So emotionless Yet never meaningless The pair of eyes gets bigger, maybe even closer Its glimmer much clearer, its curiosity much pronounced Silent thumps of steps was heard, or was that my heartbeat With a soft paw of darkness reaching to my hand, I don’t know if I should stay Or if I should flee…
