A Believer's Hope
I rise from dust, hands folded in peace, A faithful heart, from trials released. The trumpet’s call fills earth and sky, Yet I feel no fear, for He is nigh. My soul recalls each prayer I made, Each tear I shed, each debt repaid. Feet that hastened to kindness and grace, Hands that served in every place. A Book of deeds before me spread, With pages white, by mercy led. Each line a hope, each word a prayer, The weight of faith beyond compare. I see the pure, in robes of light, With faces radiant, pure and bright. And in their midst, my place I find, With tranquil heart and peaceful mind. "For this," I say, "I toiled and yearned, Through every hardship, my spirit burned." The gates of mercy open wide, As angels call me to His side. No shadows here, no fear, no pain, The promise kept, the endless gain. With joy I bow, in light I stand, Guided home by His gentle hand.
