A believed moment
How could I be so damn stupid, or maybe just… open? I let you get close— too fast, too deep, too real. You spoke like you meant it, and I listened like it mattered. That’s the dangerous part— I believed you. And you knew. You knew exactly what you were doing when you traced your words around the softest parts of me. I told you about before— how love once turned into chaos, how it burned instead of warmed. You said you were different. God, you sounded different. So I let myself fall— not all at once, but in quiet pieces, in late-night trust, in the spaces between your sentences. And now you’re gone— not vanished, just… redirected. Same words, same rhythm, someone new standing where I once did. So what do I call this? Not love. Not accident. Not even cruelty, exactly. Just this.. the moment someone learns exactly how to reach you— and chooses not to stay.
