A Band-Aid for the Heart
A Band-Aid for the Heart* by Jack A.S. Dunce Have you even once, just once, thought of me? At night, while gazing at the stars and moon? When music fills your soul and sets you free? While slumber wraps you in its soft cocoon? At dawn, when you wake up with wistful eyes? When you feel the zephyr hugging you tight? While walking through the park with sunny skies? At dusk, while watching the fading daylight? When the midnight tears roll down pallid cheeks? At every tick of time that the heart beats? Because I do for you, for countless weeks. But I do know when to concede defeat. And so, I wrote this piece of feigned sonnet Hoping my words can serve as tourniquet. --🏵️-- ©️pgmr 02/01/2025 /*Re-envisioned and revised: A Rose in Mind
